We specialize in supplying you with equipment, materials, and parts to build and improve both your workshop and model projects. We also stock plans and books for both the enthusiast & the arm chair modeler. Though we specialize in Gauge "O" & #1 gauge locomotives, we are keenly aware of the larger gauges, having built several 7.1/2" gauge-2.1/2" scale locomotives over the years. A vast number of our products are applicable in all scales.
Sulphur Springs Steam Models is a home based business started by Bob & Carol Paule. For more years than they care to admit, they have been deeply involved in The Hobby. SSSM came about as a way of carrying their enthusiasm further and helping others who enjoy the same things they have come to cherish.
In the spring of 2001, Bob developed some health problems. To insure that Sulphur Springs remains the premier supplier for the small-scale modeler, Tom & Diana Eaton have taken over the daily operation. Tom & Diana are local enthusiasts and are deeply involved in The Hobby.
Our "Normal" business hours are 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm CST weekdays and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm CST most Saturdays. We try to be home during these hours to receive your phone calls, but we do have other outside commitments and are not always available. If you miss us please ring back. The FAX is always on.
We pride ourselves in normally shipping your order complete within 24 hours of receiving it. Most of the items listed in our catalog are on our shelves. Yes, we occasionally run out of some things, as many of our items are obtained in Europe and take months to receive. We try to anticipate sales and allow for this, but we ask for your understanding when we run out of an item.
