SILVER SOLDERS
25% Silver: A silver/copper /zinc alloy containing 25% silver for
copper, brass or steel brazing. Solidifies at 1265 F, Liqueflies at
1430 F. The slightly higher melting temperatures allow this alloy to
be used with 45% Silver Solder (WSX-45xx) for step brazing. This
alloy is a decent color match to some brass alloys. Use with Flux

PICKLING COMPOUNDS
These products are used to pickle (acid wash) metal parts before and
after silver soldering to remove the scale build up and clean the
metal. The product, used on steel parts, may also be used to remove
mill scale on hot rolled steel. One can makes one gallon. One type is
used on iron and steel parts (WPS) and the other type (WPB) is used
on brass and copper parts.

STEAM &
LUBRICATING OILS and EQUIPMENT
BEARING/MOTION OIL A general purpose lubricating oil for use on plain
or roller bearings on machine tools. It is also recommended for the
lubrication of bearings, moving parts and valve gear on steam
locomotives and stationary engines. This is not an automotive oil but
a blended oil with an excellent balance of anti-wear agents and oil

STEAM CYLINDER OIL A thermally stable oil designed to reduce the
buildup of harmful deposits caused by the high operating temperatures
of steam cylinders. This chemically stable oil protects against rust
and corrosion, provide good film strength, excellent lubricity and
resistance to oxidation and foam. Excellent for all types of
stationary engines and locos from O-gauge to 7.1/2". Viscosity ISO VG

WAY OIL The Extreme Pressure additives and lubricity agents in this
oil effectively eliminates slip-stick and chatter under thin film
boundary lubrication conditions. A rust preventive agent has been

METAL COLORING
CHEMICALS
STEEL BLACK, OXPHO-BLUE is a cold blueing agent for coloring steel to
a gun blue color which will also form a rust preventing phosphatized
surface under the blue. Excellent for boiler lagging and shop tools.

WATER GAUGE GLASS for
BOILERS
A typical method used to cut this glass tubing to the desired
length is by scoring with a file or an abrasive cut-off wheel mounted
in a Moto-Tool and then "bending" to break to the desired length,
WEAR SAFETY GLASSES AND PROTECTIVE GLOVES. To glaze ends of tube and
remove stress cracks, heat ends of tube to a dull red with a Propane
torch. Tubing is produced to metric sizes only but the closest inch
size is given for reference. The diameter of the blue line tube
varies greatly in size and fittings may have to be modified to accept
this type tube. Both types of tubing are supplied in 6" lengths.
WARNING: While our gauge glass is of the finest quality, we cannot be
held responsible for injury or damage due to glass cracking under
working conditions or while being cut. Use all required safety
protective gear.

GAUGE GLASS WASHER MATERIAL Replacement Rubber tubing (as used in

TEFLON PACKING is an excellent gland and rod packing material that is
starting to be used in many of the commercially produced engines.
This 1/2" wide by 0.003" thick teflon tape can be rolled into a very
