SHAY GEARS  These are the Right Angle Bevel gears that are used on many commerical Gauge 1 locomotives. Gears are matched in pairs. Bevel gears of different pairs will not run together. Gears are 49 DP brass.

Ga. 1 LOCOMOTIVE WHEEL CASTINGS, Shell molded Cast Iron.  Wheel castings (require machining) do not have cast-in balance weight (counterweight) unless specified below. For drivers without counterweight, Dummy Cwt's can be made and glued in place.  Back of wheel requires machining to open spokes. Dimensions listed are in inches. Castings are to 1:32 scale except #HLP-W100 which is a cast iron lost wax casting (1:19 scale) for a C-16 Narrow gauge locomotive. CYLINDER CASTING SET for "DOT" or other Ga. 1 engines with "D" valves, Material Bronze, Consists of 2 ea.:
Cylinders, steamchests, front end covers and rear end covers. Bore can be machined from 7/16" to 9/16" diameter, stroke up to 1" in length.    HLP-C1

OPERATING LOCOMOTIVE TEST & DISPLAY STAND for LIVE STEAM LOCOMOTIVES. An engine can be placed on the stand, steamed up and test operated or used for running in the locomotive. The base, pilot truck support and tender/trailing truck support are of varnished natural oak. The supports for the drive wheels are shielded ball bearings mounted on brass axles in an aluminum channel. One support is required for each drive axle that one wishes to support. As an example a 0-6-0 requires 3 supports. A 2 truck Shay or Climax would require 4 supports. These supports can be placed at any wheel center distance (greater than 17/16" center to center distance) to accommodate all locomotives one would have in the Roundhouse. Both Gauge 1 or Dual Gauge (0 & Ga.1) test/display stands are available. This test stand is for live steam & battery powered locomotives only. It is not capable of supplying electrical track power to locomotives.
SHORT BASE MODEL (LET-Sx) is for short engines without pilot wheels, trailing wheels and/or tender. Base board is 11.3/4" long.
LONG BASE MODEL (LET-Lx) is for engines with pilot wheels, trailing wheels and/or a tender. Base board is 35" long. A pilot truck support board and a tender/trailing truck support board is also supplied. Longer base boards are available to special order at additional cost.

SERVO SMOOTHER w/ AUTOHOLD for R/C steam locomotives. This is the product to cure that glitching "Rusty Bolt" effect-the signal scatter that causes complete loss of control. Using computer technology, it sorts out the bad signals so you can really drive your steam loco. It can be set for three (3) different levels of suppression: Low 0.5 sec, Med 1.0 sec. and High 2.0 seconds. If transmitter signal is lost for any reason or turned off the device will hold the last set position. Easy to fit in-line between receiver & servos. This unit will control two (2) servos. It can be used on a single channel or two channel radio.

MINIATURE PRESSURE GAUGES These precision pressure gauges are of all brass construction. They are threaded 3/16"-40 at the steam inlet. Standard practice is to use a gauge having a full scale rating of 1.1/2 to twice the working pressure of the boiler. All pressure gauges MUST be installed using a Gauge Syphon such as the ones listed below to prevent overheating. Selected size pressure gauges are available in two styles; with and without a backface flange. Without (W/O) backface flange (plain case) is the type most commonly used.
