Graham Industries produces an excellent line of Fully Machined steam engine kits for the Hobbyist.  These engines have been used to power stationary equipment displays, steamboats, and Gauge 1 locomotives.  The engine parts can be highly polished to make a fantastic looking display model when mounted on a stained wood base.

The kits contain a detailed well written instruction manual, all parts fully machined and all necessary hardware.  Only a few hand tools, such as a small set of screwdrivers, needle nose pliers and small files are required. The fit parts are fully machined from brass, stainless steel, aluminum, and steel.  The detailed instruction manual contains assembly, adjustment, and operating instructions.  operating pressure is 5-35 psi air or steam.

GAGE HM1 is a Horizontal double acting slide valve single cylinder non-reversing steam engine.  Bore is 0.344", stroke 0.500". Shaft diameter is 1/'8 with a 1 1/2" diameter flywheel.                         KEG-HM1.....$95.00    

GAGE VR1A is a double acting single cylinder Vertical steam engine of 1/2' bore with a 5/8" stroke.  Reversing is accomplished by classic Stephenson valve gear.  KEG-VR1A.....$120.00

GAGE TVR1A is a twin cylinder reversing steam engine of 1/2" bore, 5/8" stroke. The crankpins are set at 90° so the engine is self starting.  Hackworth reversing valve gear is used and is easily adapted to Radio Control operation. Several people have used this engine to make a Class A Climax in Gauge 1. KEG-TVR1A.....$245.00

Additional FLYWHEELS.  These flywheels will improve the slow running characteristics of GAGE engines. Two different models are available.
