"STEAM in the GARDEN"
Magazine REPRINTS
Sulphur Springs Steam Models, Ltd. in cooperation with Ron Brown of
Steam in the Garden magazine is pleased to offer
STEAM in the GARDEN reprints. SSSM LLC. will reprint all
back issues of STEAM in the GARDEN magazine when the
original printing becomes unavailable.
Reprints are photo static (Xerox) copies from original issues. Some of
the pictures do not reproduce as well as one would like. This is
especially true with the earlier issues. Photographs tend to be on
the dark side. We try our best but the Technological Fairy can only
perform minor miracles.
Reprints are spiral bound using the Ibico binding system. When
complete Volumes are ordered they are bound as complete volumes.

These drawing sets are all in the GERMAN
Language. All dimensions are in the metric system.
All notes in German. We offer these drawings since they are the only
know source of such information. An understanding of German is
helpful but a knowledge of common Model Engineering practice will
suffice to get one through. If nothing more they are a great
reference source. We know of no sources for this type of drawings
except in German.

Books by David & Vince Gingery
Build Your Own Metal working Shop From Scrap a progressive series of projects in seven volumes by David J. Gingery. Beginning with a rudimentary charcoal fired foundry you are shown how to produce your own castings for building the machine tools to equip your shop. Initially the castings are "machined" using simple hand methods and hand tools. The methods described are complete and not complicated. The required tools and materials require NO large outlay of cash. Sweet equity and a lot of work is the basic requirement. Other books by David and his son Vincent which follow the same idea of "build your own" are also listed. You will find these books very interesting.
Book 2-The METAL LATHE, D. J. Gingery: Use castings from the charcoal foundry, common hardware store items and simple hand tools to produce a 7" swing lathe. Illustrated with photos & drgs to guide you through the process.
